Centres “Rota Jovem” – Training in Action

Wednesday, 07 March 2012 10:06
During the past two years, the Social Inclusion and Labour Market Integration Centres "Rota Jovem" has been playing a decisive role in opening up new opportunities for young people in the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador.

Operating since October 2009 in three municipalities in El Salvador (Apopa, Ciudad Delgado and Soyapango), the Centers have now over 3.000 entries. Since its opening, the Centers “Rota Jovem” has been trying to adapt to the needs of young people who attend, as well as the population of the municipalities where they are located.

According to the Coordinator of this project in Oikos, André Saramago: "This initiative has been a learning process always aimed to improve and increase opportunities for young people of these cities.".
